That was roughly the sound emitted from my mouth when I logged on to Rock Chalk Talk this evening and saw that Sherron Collins and Cole Aldrich were each coming back to school. Obviously this excites me to no end and even though we’re 7 months or so away from the 2009-2010 season I am already jazzed up. I seriously feel like I just drank about 5 cups of coffee.

Next year Kansas will easily be the deepest team in college basketball, and honestly one of the deepest teams ever. I’m not saying they’ll win the national title, but take a look at this second five: Elijah Johnson, Thomas Robinson, Jeff Withey, Markeiff Morris, Brady Morningstar? Xavier Henry? Mario Little? Seriously Kansas is going to be able to roll 12 deep next year without a doubt, and I can’t wait to see it.

Honestly, I both envy Bill Self because he gets a front row seat for what should be a phonemenal ride and pity him because he’ll have to take minutes from a very deserving player.

Honestly, I love baseball more than just about anything, but right now I would gladly trade in the 09 season to be able to get the college bball season started.
